Current Morning Routine

It's happening. I'm becoming one of them. I have consumed too much content and am now writing about my morning routine. Thing is, life has been freaking busy as of late. Lots of travel going on and I can't wait to tell you all about it. So here's a quick and easy read about my current (!) morning routine.

So, how do I wake up?

It starts with the alarm clock for sure. Like most people, I rely on my phone these days. Sometimes I get all stressed out because I can't find my charging cable. And then I wish I would still have one of this analogue alarm which I still remember from when I was younger. Fun fact, I still remember how my mum gave this red alarm clock with Donald Duck on it when I started school, then my dad stole it from me.

6.30am - and the sound Slow Rise pops up. Minimum of 15 minutes snoozing these days. I've been better, used to get up at 6 am. When I was younger I was sitting downstairs in the kitchen by 6.25 and would catch the bus at 7.40. I change the times constantly. I'm all about personal freedom in every respect. 

Music! Only recently did I get back to putting on music in the morning. I always turn to TuneIn first, there's something dead about Spotify which I can't really put my finger to. Maybe it's this kind of feeling that radio can surprise me a little bit more. Very irrational thought here, I know. Go to station? SomaFM.

Food! I never skip breakfast, always treasure it to such an extent. And rarely can any fancy cafe or breakfast place compete with my bowls. hehe 

1 avocado
1 banana
1 almond or cashew milk 
1 spoon matcha powder
1 spoon Spirulina

Now add cereal, the kind without sugar. Blueberries, raspberries or strawberries, pure chocolate chips, goji berries, coconut flakes, maybe a bit of maple syrup. 

Are you feeling it? Are your senses stimulated?

Well, coffee is a must. Still using a Moka coffee maker which I bought years back at Butler. It's probably not human anymore because I rarely clean it out. Yes, that's one of these darker parts about myself. You can't be perfect in every respect and that's just part of my coffee experience.

Oh, and a glass of grapefruit juice. Sometimes I drink it on the balcony and listen to the birds in the trees.

And then I'm off catching a train (and thinking about the day's to-do-list), being late or starting the home office day.Who knows how next week looks like.

  1. My currently routine includes some cervical excercises recommended by the doctor and journaling. Also having breakfast while I watch one of my favourite series.

  2. Your breakfast is the thing my breakfast dreams of being when it grows up. 🙂

    I am one of those peculiar people who do not need an alarm. Every morning between 4:20 and 4:25, I wake up. Like clockwork. Except I have no clock. Way too early for most, I know, but I treasure the hour I have alone before the rest of my house wakes up. That, and my tea are my favorite things about my morning.
