Seven Universal Principles

Good evening ladies & gentlemen. I went through an old notebook recently and stumbled upon 7 universal principles which I had written down on a flight to Athens. If I remember correctly, they are probably from that 1000+ page book which is still resting in my Kindl every night. This isn't an essay about quoting and keeping copyrights but you are welcome to start a separate train of thoughts...

Like fish in water, at first sight too shallow. A living being as a microcosm of divinity. Externally and internally. That's literally all. As in ALL. all. I have to force myself to get out of my poetic ramblings but at times it feels like it's just so good to dwell in these clouds. Call it energy, call it randomness, call it a probability. Whatever is out there in the universe, is in your self. Don't forget the vice versa. The answers lie within. Someone even gave me a birthday card last year which said something like everything you are looking for is already in your heart. Everything that you find is a part of your life. It was a birthday card calling me to start the journey to myself. to find the strength in me. It said that I would find enormous strength if I would be one with myself.

Enough of these romantic and uplifting lines of thought, here are the 7 universal principles which I stumbled searching for myself:

mentalism

The all is mind; the universe is mental.

correspondence

As above so below; as below so above.

vibration

Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.

polarity

Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.

rhythm

Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.

cause and effect

Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens to law; chance is but a name for law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escaped the law.

gender

Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principles; gender manifests on all planes.

If you don't know how to read the city, notice how people vibrate at all different frequencies. I vibrate at a high and neurotic but spiritual frequency, with a lot of anxiety but a lot of passion. I'm trying to grasp fully that it is me that is holding me back most of the time, not my condition. What you understand about yourself and others in all types of situations and contexts, are only maps or models of understanding you have formed. Call Astro a map, but a useful one which has helped me understand that we are all limited edition and no one knows you better than you do yourself.

Idealized exterior functions of the body, socially unacceptable interior functions of the mind. What a beautiful twist. Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are, know that there is always more depth than what meets the eye. I'm now at a point in my life where it feels like it is time to answer what my own needs are and then take care of them, everything else is foolish stuff. Knowing these universal principals is such a good reminder at times, it helps me accept reality. Slowly but steady, I untie the knot around polarity and rhythm. Can help but wonder and see that the bullet journal trend may be a means to tackle just that as well.

If you take a close look at yourself, do you know your own rhythm or does it throw you out of balance every now and then? Do you recognize your own behavior, sometimes more masculine traits, then other times a more feminine site? Have you seen the law of attraction work? Hmmm. A series that begins with a thought and ends with a result. A combination of the will and the way. Everything is conceptual including the physical, all defined by being extended in space. Which principle do you think is most challenging to recognize and accept

6279 the all is in all. The all is in you. all. A few days ago the birthday card which was given to me last year fell down my door, the tape just didn't stick anymore. It's sitting next to me on my desk right now. The last sentence goes: when you are one with yourself, your dreams become reality.

  1. It would seem we have been wandering down similar paths of contemplation… with the minor difference here and there but largely in agreement in the fundamentals. You would probably be aware though that we fallible humans rarely get everything exactly right and see different things at different times in life.

    Experience can bring clarity…

    … or confusion 😉

Did you get my earlier email?

Oh – one final thing – it is worth remembering that in our world we are able to see things in either one, two, or three (and likely four but that gets complex rapidly) dimensions so, for example, Black and White which would normally be considered as a binary single dimensional scale can exist in 3(4?) different directions/dimensions and not just a single one as some might think, resulting in various combinations or results that depend upon the perspective that one chooses (or is being forced to) view from. 🙂

    love.

    1. Ahhh thank you so very much for your detailed response, I have just re-read your email yesterday actually! Still finding the right counter message for you… but you are so right with the multiple dimensions, thanks for reminding me. As I go out today, I will ponder upon it some more… catch you later aligator.

  2. So thoughtprovoking as always, I appreciate this post a lot because I keep finding myself astonished and I love your way of expression.

    1. Ahhh Arden, thank you so very much for stopping by — you know how much it means to me <3....... will need to come back to your Sagittarius wisdom though... I analyse but you are the one who is really shooting for the stars.... 🙂

    1. Aw, thanks for your feedback! Exactly, but who knows how big the bigger picture actually is??? 🙂

  4. Very interesting! Definitely not the seven principles I was expecting, in a good way. I found the polarity one the most noticeable, at least in my own personal life.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog – I enjoyed reading this post very much , it as a lot to do with what I am going through personally right now , and very thought provoking points , thanks for sharing
