The Radiance Sutras

There are 3 books sitting on my bedside table.
One is about love, one about serenity and the 3rd one about everything in between.

All this talk of purity and impurity, these are just opinions.
Beyond them are the miraculous energies of creation.

Rays of light from a trillion suns illumine the altar of your sky.
Rolling blue-green oceans sanctify the air you breathe.
In this moment, you are inhaling their blessing.
Who are you to call any of this pure or impure?

Find the center around which everything revolves.
Stand here and be flooded with joy.

Yukti Verse #100
The Radiance Sutras by Lorin Roche

So when I get up or ready for sleep, those softening words from people who appear to have it all figured out, they blow a certain type of tranquility my way. It almost feels like listening to some ancient voice of wisdom. To describe it as soothing would be an understatement. It's just that these words don't try to be anything, no novel, no short story, no poem - but nonetheless, they reveal a sense of truth from far far away. There is no story but remembrance.
